Frequently Asked Questions Are all lubricants toy and condom compatible?​Condom compatibility varies and is specific to the lubricant formula. JO water-based and hybrid formulas are safe to use with most toys and condoms. JO silicone and oil formulas are safe to use with hard plastic, glass, metal, ceramic, and stone toys. They are not safe to use with silicone toys. The FDA does not currently classify personal lubricants as vegan, but JO meets the standards. JO does not use any gluten in our lubricant formulas; however, our products are manufactured in facilities that also manufacture products with gluten.​

All orders are processed in CAD. While the content of your cart may be in USD, you will checkout using CAD at the most current exchange rate.

Orders are processed within 1 to 2 business days of receiving your order. All orders are shipped via Canada Post and customers are responsible for shipping charges unless the minimum spend is met to qualify for free shipping.

RETURNS

Returns will not be accepted without prior authorization and a Smut Shop issued RA#. Please contact us at hello@thesmutshop.com for authorization and instructions on how to proceed. Defective goods will be replaced or given account credit.

The Smut Shop is unable to accept returns for the following reasons but not limited to;

  • Used merchandise will not be eligible for returns due to health and safety reasons.
  • Damaged packaging
  • Articles of clothing, lingerie, costumes, or latex products
  • Testers, or display models
  • Any product that is missing components, accessories, or any other piece included in original condition
  • Products which are not in the manufacturer’s original packaging
  • Items with an expiration date such as personal lubricants and other topicals, contraceptives, and edible items.

All defective goods will require photo evidence to receive a RA#.

DAMAGES & MIS-SHIPS

Customers are responsible to verify and confirm the contents of each shipment upon receipt. Claims are required to be made within 7 days of receipt of goods.  If there is a discrepancy or if any items were damaged during transit, you must retain the box that the item(s) arrived in so that we may file a report with the carrier. Please do not add or deduct any amounts from invoices for any reason until a Smut Shop credit or debit memo has been issued. This includes but is not limited to mis-ships, damages, and/or defective items. Please contact us to report any issues with an order or for questions regarding an invoice.
